Question: If a Magna is set in constant temp mode shouldn’t the pump shut down when the temperature set point is made at the pump? We have a building where the pump goes to a minimum flow when the loop temperature set-point is made.
Answer: In Constant Temperature Control, the pump does not shutdown. Instead it slows down to a bare minimum flow speed to keep water moving across the sensor and keep the motor from overheating. Note that the main use of constant temperature control mode is for domestic water recirculation where you do not want the pump to stop and have stagnant water.
